3D CAMERA

Type: Design of a homemade 3D Steresoscopic Camera
Size: -
Material: Alumiium, copper, plastic
Location: Toulouse, FR
Team: Alexandre Carpentier
Date: February 2014

As I never worry about experimenting in various fields, one of my side project has been the conception of my own handmade 3D camera prototype (Final result to use with red/blue glasses).

The concept is fairly simple : using both stereoscopy and anaglyph principles, I soldered together 2 Nikon Coolpix L4 cameras. The trickiest part was about soldering the same shutter button to both cameras, necessary if I want to shoot movable subjects in the same time. Currently, I am testing it on various situations.
